Security Guard Verification for Housing Societies and Offices
Your society, office or shop trusts whoever the agency posts at the gate, including the replacement who arrived last night. This check shows each guard's court cases across India, news mentions and public profiles from a name, father's name and city, so you are not relying on the agency's word alone.
₹99 per report · No documents · Never contacted
- ₹99 per report
- Name, father's or husband's name and city only
- Person is never contacted
- Full refund if undelivered
Verify a guard now
Why committees and owners check guards themselves
- Agencies say all their guards are verified. A report per guard lets the committee see public court records across India, pending and disposed, for itself.
- Short-notice replacements often arrive without a file. You can run a check the same evening with just a name, father's name and city.
- The guard is never contacted or told, so the check stays within the committee and does not disrupt duty.
- Each report is saved in My Reports and can be shared with committee members, giving you a record for every guard on duty.
- At ₹99 per guard and about 5 minutes each, checking a whole roster is practical, not a project.
- Appointing or renewing a security agency for a housing society
- A new guard posted at the main gate or on the night shift
- A replacement guard sent from another site at short notice
- A quarterly audit that turns up a guard with no file
- Office, shop or warehouse guards who hold keys or alarm codes
- Residents asking the committee who exactly is on duty
- 1
Choose a PSARA-licensed agency
Under the PSARA Act, 2005, a private security agency needs a licence to operate. Ask for a copy, look the agency up in the 'Know Your Agency' section of psara.gov.in, and confirm the licence is current and covers your state.
- 2
Call current clients and meet the supervisor
Speak to two or three societies or offices of a similar size about guard turnover, supervisor visits and how complaints were handled. Meet the supervisor for your site and ask how often he will visit, including at night.
- 3
Write verification rules into the contract
Add clauses that no guard is posted without a complete file, that replacements follow the same rule with prior notice, and that you can ask for any guard to be withdrawn. Ask for a monthly roster, and have a lawyer review the final contract.
- 4
Ask for each guard's file and police verification
PSARA requires the agency to be satisfied about each guard's character and antecedents in the manner state rules prescribe, which commonly involves the police. Ask for the police verification report, or proof of application with the date, for every guard.
- 5
Run a fraudcheck.ai check on each guard
Using the guard's full name, father's name and city, check court cases across India, news mentions and public profiles. If a case appears, confirm it is the same person and raise it with the agency in writing, since the agency answers for eligibility.
- 6
Treat short-notice replacements as new hires
Ask for the replacement's name, photograph, ID card and verification status before he reports. If the file is not ready, post him alongside an existing guard rather than alone at night, and finish the file and your own check within a few days.
- 7
Audit guard files every quarter
Compare every guard on duty with the files you hold; a face without a file is a red flag. Review the visitor register for gaps, and have a committee member walk the gates at night once a month.
- A copy of the agency's photo identity card, which PSARA requires for every guard
- Full name and father's name, for your own background check
- Identity and address proof, for both current and permanent address
- The police verification report, or proof of application with the date
- A training certificate or the agency's training record
- Two recent photographs, to match against the face at the gate
- A working phone number and a family contact, called once to confirm
- Name and number of the supervisor responsible for your site
- The agency cannot show a PSARA licence, or it does not appear on psara.gov.in for your state
- Claims that every guard is verified, with no report or application proof for any named guard
- A guard on duty with no file, or whose face does not match the ID card
- Replacements arriving again and again without notice or paperwork
- A bid far below the others, leaving little room for proper wages, supervision or replacements
- Gaps in the visitor register, especially at night
- A past work history that does not match what the agency told you
