Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to commonly asked questions about our verification services.
fraudcheck.ai is an Indian online background check service: from a person's full name, father's or husband's name and city, it returns a ₹99 report of court cases across India, news mentions and public social media presence in about 5 minutes. You pay once per report, there is no subscription, and the person you check is never contacted.
Any adult you are about to trust with your home, money or family: a tenant, a landlord asking for a deposit, a maid, cook or nanny, a driver, a security guard, or a prospective bride or groom. People also check a business partner, contractor or a seller they met online. You should have a genuine reason, and our Terms do not allow checks on children.
Only three: the person's full name, their father's name (or husband's name for a married woman) and their city. You do not need Aadhaar, PAN, a phone number, any document or an OTP. Copy the spelling from the person's ID if you can, because a wrong spelling or city can change the results.
Three sections: court cases across India from public court records, both pending and disposed; news mentions, meaning published stories that name the person; and their public social media presence. Court cases come with details such as the type of case and its status, so you can judge how much each one matters.
It is not police verification or a police clearance certificate, and it does not include credit or CIBIL scores, bank or financial history, income, or employment or education verification. It also does not verify Aadhaar, PAN or other identity documents, driving licences, vehicles or property papers. It shows the person's public record only and is not a guarantee about anyone's character.
Every result is matched on the full name plus father's or husband's name plus city, and only items matched to the same person are shown. Records that share only the name are counted as "same name, not shown" instead of being listed. This removes most namesakes, but check the details in each result, such as locality, before you rely on it.
About 5 minutes after payment. All three sections arrive together in one report, which is saved in My Reports so you can open it again anytime.
₹99 per person, paid once. There is no subscription, no account fee and nothing renews. Housing societies, fleet operators and HR teams that need many checks a month can email info@fraudcheck.ai for volume pricing.
One report on one person: a search of court records across India, published news and public social media, matched on the three details you enter. The price shown on the button before you pay is the total amount charged. To check two people, such as a couple renting a flat, run one report for each adult.
UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking and wallets, all through our secure Razorpay checkout. Razorpay handles your card, UPI or bank details, and we never see or store them.
Yes, you get a full refund if we cannot deliver your report or you were charged twice. A delivered report is not refunded because of what it says, and "no court case found" is a complete result, not a failure. If you made a typing mistake in the name, email us within 24 hours and we will re-run the report once with the corrected spelling, free of charge.
Email info@fraudcheck.ai within 30 days of payment with the report ID or Razorpay payment ID and a line on what went wrong. We reply within 1 business day and send approved refunds within 2 business days. Banks usually show the money 5 to 7 business days after that.
Email info@fraudcheck.ai with your order details. We reply within 1 business day and either complete the report or refund you in full, as you prefer. If money was debited but the payment failed, your bank or Razorpay usually reverses it by itself within 5 to 7 business days.
No. The report is built only from public court records, published news and public social profiles, and we never contact the person or tell them who ran a check. We also never show your report to the person you checked.
Only you, in your account, and the people you choose to share it with. We never sell personal data, and service providers such as Razorpay and our hosting and search providers receive only what they need to do their part.
Data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections and is stored with cloud providers that encrypt it at rest, and only people who need it to run the service can access it. Payments go through Razorpay, so we never see your card or UPI details. You can ask us to delete your account and reports at any time by emailing info@fraudcheck.ai.
Looking at public information, such as court case listings, published news and what a person has made public, is generally lawful when done for a genuine purpose. Accessing private data such as bank records, credit reports, Aadhaar details or phone records without authority is not, and fraudcheck.ai does not offer it. Keep the results to the decision you are making and take legal advice for formal employment screening; this is general information, not legal advice.
No. Police verification is carried out by the police, and where your city requires it for a tenant, domestic help or other worker, you must still complete it. A fraudcheck.ai report is a public-record check you read yourself before deciding, often while police verification is still pending. It complements police verification; it does not replace it.
Before you accept a token or sign the agreement. Run one report for each adult who will live in the flat as soon as you have their full name, father's or husband's name and city. Then complete tenant police verification where your city requires it; our tenant verification page has a step-by-step guide.
Yes. The report needs no documents from the worker and is ready in about 5 minutes, so you can read it before they have keys to your home. Police verification of domestic help, where your city offers it, takes longer, so use the report as a first look and complete police verification as well.
Court cases across India such as rash driving, hit-and-run or assault cases, along with news mentions and public social presence for the driver. It does not verify the driving licence itself or cover traffic challans, so see the original licence separately before you hand over the keys.
Any committee member can run a report on each guard with the guard's full name, father's name and city. It shows court cases such as theft, trespass or assault, plus news mentions and public presence, in about 5 minutes per guard. It does not replace police verification of guards, so ask the agency for that too.
Yes. You need only the prospective bride's or groom's full name, father's name and city, and they are never contacted or told. The report shows court cases across India, such as any earlier matrimonial dispute, along with news mentions and public social profiles you can compare with their biodata. It does not cover income, employment or financial history.
First confirm it is the same person using the father's or husband's name, city and other details in the case. Then look at the type of case, the person's role and whether it is pending or disposed: a pending case is not a conviction, and a complainant is not an accused. If it is serious, raise it calmly with the person or their family, and speak to a lawyer before acting on anything legal.
The report is only as complete as the public sources it searches at that moment: court records, published news and public social profiles. Matching on name, father's or husband's name and city removes most namesakes, but spellings vary and a record can be missed or mismatched, so read results with judgement. "No record found" means nothing matched in those sources; it is not a guarantee about the person.
Sign in with the same mobile number or Google account and open My Reports. Every report you have paid for is listed there and stays available while your account is open.
Yes. Reports are saved in My Reports, so you can share one with family members, a co-owner or anyone else involved in the same decision. Keep it to those people, and do not post or forward findings about someone on social media or in group chats.
